With the release of EnterMedia 8.17 software developers can now more easily create media centric applications.

Some examples uses include:

  • Create a portal for your clients to review and approve media files from your company web site.
  • Allow users to post fishing pictures and videos to your web site. Use our API to save those uploaded files in a centralized EnterMediaDB server.
  • Create a custom mobile phone application to showcase company photos and videos

Partnership Enables Companies to Jointly Market and Sell EnterMedia Digital Asset Management Software and Signifies a Commitment from DPCI to Contribute to the EnterMedia Open Source Project
New York, NY – Dec 08, 2010 – DPCI, a provider of integrated technology solutions for organizations that need to publish content to web, print, and mobile channels, today announced a partnership with EnterMedia Inc., the developer of EnterMedia open source digital asset management software. Recently, DPCI implemented EnterMedia as part of a multi-channel publishing solution at Consumer Search, Inc. – a PRIMEDIA company focused on real estate advertising books. EnterMedia 8.9R1

The release notes for EnterMedia 8.9R1 can be found here. Update instructions are also documented. It is always recommended that the update be performed first in a sandbox environment. Local testing will empower your administrators to reapply any customizations and troubleshoot and potential problems without losing any time in a production environment. This is especially useful if the local installation has not been updated for several release cycles.

Many old and new clients have expressed interest in our consulting services lately, so Hit List Sponsorship will be driving development setting the stage for version 9.0. Custom applications, advanced module relationships, additional video features and more precise permissions will all be available over the next few releases.
